EVADE (Evaluating Variation in management following admission with Acute DEcompensation of cirrhosis). This is the 3rd and current project for ToRcH-UK. Following acute decompensation (AD) of cirrhosis patients experience a high morbidity and mortality. The BSG/BASL discharge bundle was created to try and standardise management on discharge and improve outcomes. In a progression in the network's ambition, this is the first prospective study that will be conducted. The principal objective will be to determine adherence to the bundle across the UK for patients admitted with AD. Secondary objectives will be to determine the management and outcomes of patients post-discharge up to 3 months, and to assess variation in care.
If you would like to take part, please access the EVADE study dashboard (www.redcap.link/evade) which provides the protocol and supporting materials. A collaborative authorship model on future publications will be employed for all contributors. If you have any questions, please contact us via committee@torchuk.org.
