We are thrilled to be awarded further funding from Guts UK (TRN2024_02) to support our project pipeline. Our next project ‘EVADE’ which will assess outpatient care following acute decompensation(AD) of cirrhosis, and exploration of patient trajectory, readmission and mortality. Outcomes after AD have historically been poor and this is understandably a priority forpatients. This will be ToRcH-UK’s first prospective audit and therefore aims to stimulate local improvement efforts across the breadth of liver services in the UK.
The funding has provided both database hosting and statistics support to help drive successful projects. We have also been able develop this website in to engage with our network on future projects and communicate the impact of our work more widely. It will showcase the networks relationship with respected professional bodies and charities. Importantly, we will use this platform to support the development of trainees and allied healthcare professionals as the next generation of researchers and quality improvement methodologists in Hepatology.
